What would you do for freedom? Let’s keep it REAL, this is a question that many of us haven’t really thought about much, however, it’s one of the most important questions you can have the answer to. Most of us are going to school or working that job because we eventually want freedom. So what is freedom? We define freedom as the ability to choose what we decide to do without the pressures of the “have to”. We make choices every day, but how many of our choices are “want to” compared to “have to” choices? Check out our post about the Power of Choices and reap the benefits of making the right choices now!

Let’s keep it REAL, as a student, whether you’re in high school or college, you have more freedom of choice than you think. You have the choice of when and where you get to do your homework. You have the choice of who you decide to be your mentor, which allows you the choice of asking questions that could help you get to where you need to go. As a college student, you even have the choice of what you want your major, or primary educational focus, to be. As a student, you have so many choices with your time, which makes it even more important to prioritize the right choices to accelerate your journey to freedom.

Timothy Ferriss, the author of the 4-Hour Work Week, provides you with some key questions to ask yourself along your journey toward freedom. To keep it REAL, the 4-hour work week might sound unrealistic, but the point of this book is choice! It empowers you to fulfill that notion of freedom, through a variety of different mindsets and probing questions that should help you obtain that freedom you deserve. Note: The 4-Hour Work Week will require you to make some upfront efforts to achieve your freedom, but once you do, you’ll realize that life will become much more enjoyable. The idea is not necessarily to retire early, it’s to choose when, where and how you work; without the necessity of being in an office from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

We highly recommend the 4-Hour Work Week regardless of if you’re a student or an educator. Again, the idea is to reframe your mindset so that your time, which is most valuable, is spent doing what you enjoy and feel comfortable doing, without the “have to” stuff that we could live without. Thank you for checking in and we hope you find freedom and joy in your life, sooner rather than later.

Keep it REAL.
