REAL Talk #39

We’ve always started our posts with thanks. We appreciate all our supporters! We started this movement because we wanted to give back to our culture. We hope you’ve found value in our content and have used a few of the ideas from our posts. This is how we’ve decided to give back. We are so thankful for all the experiences that we’ve been through that we want to show our thanks through our actions. This movement, as you should already know, is meant to provide a positive perspective on education, in the classroom and learning, outside of the classroom. It’s all about giving back when you are fortunate enough to be able to.

As educators and students, we can appreciate the opportunities that we have to learn, inspire and influence the world in a positive way. Unfortunately, not everyone has this luxury, so it’s our job to embrace education and learning. Think about how you’ve given back in your life so far. What have you done for someone else out of the kindness of your heart; without the expectation of anything in return? There are so many benefits of giving back that will pay off. It feels good to help someone else; and the more you do it, the better you’ll feel.

Hopefully you already know the importance of giving back and this was just a reminder. Challenge yourself to give more than you receive and watch how good you feel. Try to help someone at least once per day to build a habit that will change your life. We hope this helps you continue to realize the importance of appreciation and giving. As we said in our Recognizing Growth post, true growth occurs when we have fruit to give to others. Check out that post to understand what we mean by “fruit”.

Keep it REAL.
