Chevyo Dozier

My name is Cheveyo Dozier, and I grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, where basketball has always been a huge part of my life. From a young age, I would spend countless hours shooting hoops in my neighborhood, dreaming of playing at a higher level. My passion for the game was greatly influenced by my middle school coach, who taught me the importance of teamwork and hard work. I also had the privilege of being part of student leadership programs that helped me develop my skills in communication and collaboration. I played on my high school team and was fortunate enough to win two state championship rings during the 2023-2024 seasons, which was an incredible experience that I will cherish forever.

Currently, I am in the 11th grade and attending classes at Tri-C, balancing my academic pursuits with my basketball commitments. I’m taking college-level courses that challenge me and prepare me for my future, while still dedicating time to practice and improve my skills on the court. I’m also involved in some volunteer work, helping to coach younger kids in basketball. This not only allows me to give back to my community but also helps me refine my leadership skills and share my love for the game with others.

Looking ahead, my dream is to become a professional basketball player while also pursuing a career as an anesthesiologist. I know that achieving these goals will take a lot of dedication and hard work, but I’m committed to making it happen. I plan to continue my education, focusing on both my athletic and academic pursuits. I want to play at the collegiate level and then hopefully transition to the pros. At the same time, I’m prepared to further my studies in medicine, as I have always been fascinated by the human body and the impact of healthcare. Balancing both passions will be challenging, but I believe that with determination and the support of my family and mentors, I can achieve my dreams.
