Research, Grants & Training

Research:

  • Facilitate REAL workshops at middle and high schools
  • Collect pre & post-survey results (physical papers or virtual)
    • Beginning and end of each school year for high schools
    • Beginning and end of each semester for middle schools
  • Collect exit slips from students at the end of each workshop (physical papers or virtual)
  • Help collect attendance, behavior, and graduation data from a school leader (principal, teacher, etc.) and assist faculty members’ analysis of the data
  • Grants:
    • Assist faculty members in finding and writing grants (REAL research gathered at schools will be used to acquire grant funding)
  • Training:
    • Attend all necessary training to become a mentor for REAL
  • Goals:
    • Find 2 grant opportunities per month and enter into a database
    • Help faculty members with working on at least 1 publication per semester
    • Work with faculty member to send a data collection and/or analysis update to HQ monthly
