My name is Antwan Hollman II and I am from Columbus, Ohio from the Forest Park area. I am a junior at KIPP Columbus High School. I started playing football at the age of 5 and got to bond with my big cousin over it. Sadly, he passed away in a double homicide but the love we shared for the game is something I will never forget.
In middle school I transferred schools and found myself struggling. There were teachers that seemed like they wanted me to fail. Going into my freshman year I was ineligible for football. That knocked me down a bit. From there I decided if football is what I loved, I was going to find a way to get through it.
Putting in the work and finding a teacher who believed in me and knew I could accomplish whatever I put my mind to, I was able to raise my GPA. My sophomore year I got inducted into the National Honor Society and am the first student at my school to be in the National Honor Society and have an IEP.
During my sophomore and junior year, I have been recruited by multiple big Division 1 schools for football and they have even come and talked to me at my school. During the off season, I play varsity basketball and train for football. My end goal is to get a scholarship and play D1 football. I would like to get my business degree and be the first person in my family to say they really made it.
