Thank you guys so much for the recognition, it truly means a lot.

I’m from inner city Cleveland, Ohio, I attended the prestigious John Hay School of Architecture & Design high school and I was a dual sport athlete there. Someone who influenced me while I was at John Hay was my coach/ mentor Micah Parker. He was one of the first successful black men outside of my family who cared about my success on and off the field while providing guidance and knowledge when I was going good and doing bad. I knew I had his best interest at heart. After that I went on to be a student athlete at Kent State University. While at Kent State I was a part of the only team inl school history to win a bowl game. I went on to graduate from Kent State with a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Communication while being on the deans list.

Currently I attend the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. I am a student athlete here as well finishing up my last semester of Grad school. Soon I will have a Masters degree in Health and Physical Education. This upcoming semester I will be shadowing the athletic director at the university learning the daily task and what he does so I can one day be a successful athletic director myself. I often indulge myself in community events such as cloth/toy drives and feeding the homeless because that’s always been who I am.

After college as I said I plan on eventually becoming an athletic director. My career goals are to stick around sports once my time as a student athlete is up, however it may be.  Rather its coaching, compliance, player personnel, etc. I want to stick arounds sports and eventually work my way up to be an athletic director while also being a dominant male figure in my given community.
